Diaspora et terrorisme
Diaspora and Terrorism
This book describes the state of Somalia, a country ravaged by numerous wars: the Ogaden War with Ethiopia in 1977, the bombardment of Hargeisa in 1988, warring factions after the fall of the dictator Siad Barr in 1991, etc. The south of Somalia is a case of a stateless territory. The political void favored the increase of power for fundamentalist groups who haven't succeeded in establishing an Islamic republic. The war has evidenced the seriousness of a continued diaspora of refugees in the camps of the horn of Africa and Yemen, of illegal immigration to neighboring countries of Somalia or the Gulf, or those requesting asylum in the West.
