Ekkehard Mochmann

Ekkehard Mochmann, docteur honoris causa, a étudié les Social Sciences and Law
aux universités de Cologne et Bonn. Il a été executive manager du Central Archive for
Empirical Social Research de l'Université de Cologne (ZA), directeur du GESIS (German Social Science Infrastructure Services/Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften) et fondateur du ZA-EUROLAB (European Data Laboratory for Comparative Social
Research), rattaché aujourd’hui au GESIS. Il a été président de l’International Federation of Data Organizations for the Social Sciences (IFDO) et du Council of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA). Il a été conseiller pour les questions de bases de données européennes auprès du Standing Comittee for the Social Sciences de l’European Science Foundation (ESF) et également pour les questions de données auprès de l’International Social Science Council (ISSC). Il a participé au groupe de travail de l’OCDE « Accès aux données de la recherche financée par des fonds publics ». Au plan national, il a contribué au German National Science Foundations Memorandum concernant les critères de qualité des enquêtes par questionnaire. Il a notamment publié « E-Science Infrastructure for the Social Sciences » (Working Paper Series of the German Council for Social and Economic Data, 115, 1er juillet 2009) ; « Improving the Evidence Base for International Comparative Research » (International Social Science Journal, 59 [193-194], 2009, p. 489-506) ; avec Éric Tanenbaum, « Towards a European Database for Comparative Research » (International Social Science Journal, 46 [142], 1994, p. 491-494).
