Quelle identité pour l'Europe ?

This work questions European identity just as the European Union has encountered unprecendented disruption: expansion to the east and to the south, debate about the role of Turkey, elaboration and processes for the adoption of the Constitution. These developments evidence the difficulty of combining one with many, national personalities with European unity. The authors – anthropologists, sociologists, jurists, political scientists, philosophers – seek to determine to what degree multiculturalism can and must constitute an important answer to the construction of Europe.
