The legislative and presidential elections of 2002 were the elections of refusal: refusal of a campaign considered boring, refusal of the scenario of a second term presented as if it were sealed, refusal of the vote and record abstention, refusal of "great" candidates for a first presidential term, and finally refusal of the president's political opposition to the legislature. This book attempts to quantify and understand all of these logics.
