What do we hear when someone talks about identity? The studies assembled in this work reveal that as soon as one speaks of identity, changes are at work: changes in the realities of groups, in their strategies of action, in the relationships they maintain with other groups. Contrary to popular belief, in politics, identity implies transformation: it's about a an act of creation, holding to myth and ideology, effected in a defined situation, functioning within specific issues of power.
