Les différences de résultats scolaires entre "enfants d'immigrés" et "enfants de natifs" étudiées pour la France par Mathieu Ichou démontrent l'utilité de prendre en compte l'hétérogénéité caractéristique des "enfants d'immigrés". Dans quels contextes la présence d'immigrés renforce-t-elle la tolérance ou la xénophobie ? L'article d'Abel François et Raul Magni-Berton, à travers une importante étude statistique, teste deux effets identifiés dans la littérature - effet de contact vs. effet de compétition - et analyse les variables (importance du chômage, notamment) expliquant les variations de leur Influence. L'article de Danlèle Guillemot et Gilles Jeannot, qui repose sur l'enquête "Changement organisatlonnel et Informatisation", s'intéresse au transfert de méthodes de gestion du secteur privé vers l'administration et conclut que la mobilisation de tels outils conduit moins à un affaiblissement de la bureaucratie qu'à son plus net accomplissement.
Renée Zauberman ef al. étudient la diversité des combinaisons de l'insécurité objective et subjective en Île-de-France et montrent que les grandes banlieues sont des zones objectivement plutôt sûres, mais dont les habitants se sentent fortement en insécurité.
À partir de l'analyse comparative de deux marchés controversés, les jeux d'argent en ligne et les organes humains, Marie Trespeuch et Philippe Stelner identifient des dispositifs marchands au cœur de la construction sociale de l'intérêt.
