Collection: Contester Protest
Series edited by Nonna Mayer

Demonstration has become the current mode of political action. Will France, the country with the highest number of protests, see any other way of undertaking politics ? Are we talking about a worldwide phenomenon or an emerging transnational public space ?

Far from nostalgia, the job of the PROTEST collection is to respond to these questions by analyzing obsolete uses, current trends, and impact of these political modes of action.

Intended for militants, students, and instructors, the PROTEST collection offers a series of short works that are clear, well-designed and accessible, including for each mode of action covered:

·          A brief history and definition

·          A theoretical context

·          Comparative views on uses and political dimensions

·          A reference bibliography
