This book is primarily a witness account of these men and women who build a place for themselves between here and there. It is the first study on Moroccan migrant groups as far as how they are implicated in development. The author approaches the relationship between migration and development from a new angle in questioning it not in terms of the material effects of migration on development, but the reasons migrants are implicated in the process. Thomas Lacroix refreshes our approach to transnationalism, analyzing the melting pot where a new migratory identity is being invented-a new style of integration.
